  1. This was so interesting. I have type 1 Diabetes and this was a really good informative article. Having diabetes, as you said, it’s not about how to avoid certain foods but rather how to eat in proportions. My endocrinologist always told me that I could eat everything, i didn’t have to prevent eating certain things, of course keeping an eye on the carbohydrates and learning to measure how much of them you eat, it’s a priority

      As you know diabetes is so much about what you eat. The Mediterranean diet is one of the best for diabetics.

      I also ran this diet by my endocrinologist and he agreed the the Mediterranean diet is excellent!

      And yes portion control is imperative when it comes to diabetes and losing weight.

      Since carbohydrates are an issues with diabetes, it makes the Mediterranean diet the best choice to follow!

  2. It was a friend that told me about the Mediterranean diet and i was thinking i needed to try it so i decided to get some research done online about it first. There really is a whole lot about it that strikes me like the fact that fat is no eliminated and one can take wine. I do not have diabetes but i am looking for a good diet that can help me prevent it. Thank you for this one. I will not forget to focus on what to eat and not what to stay away from.

  3. Thank you for this great explanation of the Mediterranean diet. I now see why it is so popular. It sounds very tasty too, unlike those recommended diets that are so plain in taste. The red wine surely adds a nice twist to the diet. Glad to know that blood sugar and blood pressure can be affected positively. I like your tip on focusing about what to eat rather than what to avoid. This is a great way to stay in track, I must say. I will be learning on how to slow down with food.
