  1. I must say research is getting expanded day by day and new things are being discovered. It’s true that low testosterone and diabetes goes hand in hand even though it’s not so made clear I low testosterone actually causes diabetes, this article has shown possible connections which I take to be of fact. I really hope that this research is made quickly. Thanks

    • Hey Andrea 😉

Yes I was never aware of low testosterone before and I researched I’ve discovered that it is very common in men after age 30.

There are a lot of symptoms that go along with this condition. And it’s even more common in men with diabetes.

Diabetes just seems to cause so many problems. That’s why it’s so important to keep those blood sugars under control.

So there are things you can do for low testosterone levels but with having diabetes it’s just best to try and control it.

      Thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. Hi I really enjoyed reading your post. I’ve always believed men’s health is a serious issue mainly because we tend to ignore signs when it comes to our health in the hope it will go away. Diabetes is a very serious illness that effects a lot of people and reading the link with Low Testosterone was very informative and something I had no knowledge on. Thanks for the post.

    • Hey Marc,

Thank you! There are many signs we don’t recognize especially when we get older.

And I agree, sometimes we just ignore them which is not good. It’s better to acknowledge them and do something about it.

Diabetes is serious and serious enough that it must be controlled to live a normal life. It can affect low testosterone levels which is important as well.

Knowledge is power so the more we know the better off we are.

You’re very welcome! I’m sorry that he has diabetes, but the more you read and know the better you can treat it.

Diabetes can add to low testosterone among so many other things.

The best thing we can do with diabetes is to control it. It’s a good thing you’re doing by forwarding this to him. I hope it helps!

Thank you for your work in the medical field as well as your comments here 🙂

  4. My cousin has been diagnosed of the II type of diabetes  and since then I think his wife has been complaining about their sex life. They didn’t know that type 2 diabetes also caused low testosterone levels or they we would have gone for the treatment. But thanks for writing this post and the recommendations as they really helped us to know the real problem with him .

    • Hi Rose 🙂

Sorry to hear about your cousin being diagnosed with diabetes.

It’s rough but not a death sentence. It’s important to control it & one result from the diabetes could be low testosterone levels.

There are treatments available so not for him to worry.

Forward this article to him and the website as well.

It will really help him out.

      Thanks for writing! 🙂

  5. This is a must read article. I know the benefits of testosterone in men. But in this article I have learned a lot . Why didn’t you add different solution to the problem? I was told regular exercise can increase testosterone in men. Is it true? Is there anything I can do to stop my testosterone from decreasing?

    Reply
    • Hey Randy,

The main point of the article was to inform people of low testosterone being caused by diabetes.

But yes, there are solutions to this issue and I agree that regular exercise is one option.

You can also take a testosterone supplement or go to your doctor to have injections as well.

Eating healthier and diversifying your exercise are benefits as well. That may help your levels from decreasing further.

Appreciate your feedback. Thank you! 🙂

  6. After reading your article, I am wondering if my husband is suffering from low testosterone? He has many of the symptoms you list and was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. He is so stubborn, though. How do I convince him that he should talk to his doctor about this? We are both in our 50s and are still both quite active, but I see him struggling and want to help him. Do you have any suggestions of how to approach him about this? I want him to know that I fully support and love him no matter what… Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    • Hey Karin 🙂

I was wondering the same thing myself until my doctor informed me of this diagnosis. It’s not a big deal really.

It’s normal with most men as it comes with age. But there are things you can do about it.

Since he was just diagnoses with type 2 diabetes, he can find a world full of information here on my website!

My advice would be to show him this article so that he might realize that it happens and that things can be done. It’s certainly nothing to be ashamed of IF that’s the case.

I hope this helps and thank you for sharing 🙂

  7. I actually don’t know much about diabetes and testosterone bit I do know from this article that there’s an iota of probability that these two are so connected in a way. Many people are suffering from lower testosterone and its been a rampant issue lately. I’ll share this article to other platforms for them to gain from this interesting and informative post.

    • Hi,

The issue with low testosterone levels is that they generally  decrease with age.

But with diabetes, it can be an additional cause of this situation.

It’s important to see a doctor to have this taken care of.

But if you’re a diabetic, then it’s best to keep it under control by watching your blood sugars.

      Thank you for sharing 🙂
