    I enjoy having cereals for breakfast, please what can I have in place of cereals for breakfast since I would love to cut down on sugar? Is oatmeal any good?
    My kids also enjoy cereals on some mornings for breakfast, what alternatives would you suggest for kids please?
    I enjoy salads too and lately I have learned to make my own dressings from scratch. This way, I know exactly what I’m eating.

      You’re welcome! With diabetes it’s mostly about what you eat. Of curse exercise is the other big factor here.
      I enjoy cereal as well for breakfast and oatmeal is an awesome choice as well.
      I always have fruit in the morning, but you have to be careful about what fruits you eat and how much. After all, fruits does have natural sugar.
      The best fruit is the berry family, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, because they are low on the glycemic index which means they contain the least amount of sugar.

    I believe this post is beneficial for everyone too not only those with diabetes because I can tell you i have learnt after reading your post. Exercise coupled with diet is indeed the key to healthy living!
    I enjoy having cereals for breakfast, please what can i have in place of cereals for breakfast since I would love to cut down on sugar. My kids also enjoy cereals on some mornings for breakfast, what alternatives would you suggest for kids please?
    I enjoy salads too and lately I have learnt to make my own dressings from scratch. This way, I know exactly what I’m eating.

      You’re welcome! With diabetes it’s mostly about what you eat. Of curse exercise is the other big factor here.

      I enjoy cereal as well for breakfast and oatmeal is an awesome choice as well.

      I always have fruit in the morning, but you have to be careful about what fruits you eat and how much. After all, fruits does have natural sugar.

      The best fruit is the berry family, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, because they are low on the glycemic index which means they contain the least amount of sugar.

  3. A friend of mine is diabetic and it is really hard for him to adjust to the whole new lifestyle and changing the way he eats is really a big problem that he is faced with. I think however, that it is a very wonderful thing that you can give people hope here and also list a number of diets that is suitable to help one deal with weight loss in relation to diabetes. This is good and I should want to make him read this so that he told can decide. I think the vegan diet is the best here.

      Sorry to hear that your friend has diabetes. It really is difficult to adjust your lifestyle when you have diabetes.

      That’s why I wanted to write this article. It’s because being overweight has a lot to do with it.

      Losing weight on a sensible diet is one of the best things that a diabetic can do for themselves.

      I feel that these are the best diets for diabetics.

      My personal choices are the Paleo and Ketogenic diets.
