I knew turmeric was good for you, but I never knew there were that many benefits! I used to use turmeric for stir fries and curry but had completely forgot about it for a while so this post really reminded me to add it back in. I will definitely use it more now since the list of benefits is so long!

I am aware that turmeric is very good for pain and inflammation, but I must say you presented many more benefits which is great to know. I have used it in soups, and even sliced it up raw and added to my water bottle. I find that it stains everything yellow including my teeth. Do you have or know of any special recipes so I can incorporate turmeric into my foods or liquids?

It’s good to know that you are aware of least some benefits of turmeric. You can add it to most anything. I tried to be extremely thorough in listing as many benefits as I could for turmeric and curcumin. For staining, you may want to try this: Brush your teeth as you would normally, but instead of rinsing when you’re done, allow the turmeric to sit on your teeth for 3-5 minutes so it can work. 2. Like anything else, everything should be run by your doctor, but I don’t believe I get enough turmeric in the foods I eat so I take 500 mg a day of turmeric. As healthy as turmeric is for you, too much of anything is not a good thing. Knowing what the proper amount to take is key here.
