  1. I love squeezing a half of a lemon in water. It’s so refreshing and acts like a morning pick me up. It also helps when I feel a bit nauseous, or when I feel like I could use an internal cleaning.

  3. Give me a slice of lemon and I’m good to go. I have used lemons for baking lemon cheesecake, lemon sponge cakes and so on. I just love the tangy taste it gives.

    Drinking water with the lemon peel in it has also been a great hit but I’m yet to try applying fresh raw lemon to my skin.
    I am a bit concerned about the acidity because some people have been known to bleach their dark skin, knees and elbows with just lemon.

    Do you think using lemon directly on acne and skin can lighten up skin pigmentation?


    • Hey Excelle!  I agree. Give me lemons in the morning and it jumpstarts my day. It’s got that tangy taste as you say that wakes your mouth up. While lemons have many benefits and one of them being for your skin, you bring up a good point. Applying lemons directly to your skin if you have dark skin can lighten the skin pigmentation so I would use caution. Thank you for mentioning that!

    • Lemon juice is just a power food. Lemons in any form are extremely healthy for you. They also help with diabetes and controlling your blood sugar. I have my blood sugar under control so I don’t have low blood sugar which can be even more serious than high blood sugar. Try lemon juice or lemon water in the morning and throughout the day.
