This is it. Yes, I’m sure you want to know does apple cider vinegar lower blood sugar? And what are the benefits of apple cider vinegar? Well, if there was ever a magic miracle potion, this is it. I never knew that any one of nature’s products could be so beneficial for so many things. I’m pretty sure that Superman drank apple cider vinegar and ate his superfoods! No wonder he could fly and have super powers and do all the things he did including having super vision and I’m sure it helped him sleep well. LOL

This is a product you definitely want to introduce into your daily diet. ACV has more benefits, not only for your health, but for so many things in life that you’d be surprised. I never heard of ACV much and didn’t think much about when I finally did see it. When I was diagnosed with diabetes I just knew I had to find solutions that would help me and thank God I found this nutritional miracle!

Apple cider vinegar has helped me in many ways but especially with lowering my blood sugar. You can’t put a price on your health but I have to tell you that for something that is rather inexpensive it sure does a hack of a lot of good things for you.

There is only one negative thing I can say about ACV and that’s the taste, BUT, that’s an easy remedy because you can mix it with anything and you don’t need a lot each day. When I mix it with my sugar free drink, I don’t taste it much at ALL!

Health Benefits for Apple Cider Vinegar

Sinus infection and stuffy nose: To break down bacteria growth and thin out the mucus in your nose and keep the sinus cavities open and clear, you need potassium, calcium, magnesium, and good levels of vitamins E and B. This will aid in calming your allergies and symptoms. Don’t forget your daily vitamin D too!

Leg cramps: I take ACV before bedtime because by having low potassium on your body, your legs can cramp up at night. I’ve had this happen more times than I can count and OH is it painful! Since I started my bedtime dosage? No more cramps! One to two tbsp. with a little honey does the trick!

Hiccups: One small teaspoon of the sour taste, and no more hiccups!

Sore throat: Once an hour mix 1/4 cup of warm water with 1/4 cup of ACV and gargle. Sore throat gone in no time!

Salad dressing: Use it in place of or in addition to salad dressing

Bad breath: Gargle with 1/2 tbsp. with water for 10 seconds each time until finished.

Dandruff: You want to balance the pH to stop growth of bacteria and yeast by mixing 1/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of ACV. Do this and by wrapping your hair in a towel and rinsing after 15 minutes will do the trick.

Heartburn relief: This is a great benefit for heartburn relief in lieu of antacids. To calm stomach problems take one teaspoon with water.

Improvement of digestion: To help break down your food better, take 1 tbsp. of ACV with water 10-15 minutes before a meal. It also helps reduce hunger and losing weight.

Other Helpful Tips for Apple Cider Vinegar

Most of these will require a 50/50 mix of ACV and water:

  1. ACV can reduce swelling on other body parts when rubbed and massaged into.
  2. Toe fungus can be gotten rid of by applying ACV. Use a cotton ball and tape on under your socks for as long as it takes. (overnight)
  3. Relax in the tub with a cup of ACV to relieve a sunburn or skin that itches.
  4. Aftershave: Mix 50/50 with water, shake well, and apply to your face.
  5. Bathtub mildew: Mix 50/50 with water unless you have a major mildew problem, then do not dilute as much. You can also fill the tub with hot water and add approx. 3 cups of ACV and let it sit for about 4 hours. Once you drain, the stains should wipe off fairly easy. Use it in sinks too! Now, a word of caution here? It may now be the best smelling application, so you can add some essential oils to combat that issue. It’s up to you.
  6. Shower curtain: Take it down and throw it in the washer and add 1 cup of ACV during the rinse cycle. Good as new! Mix a 50/50 solution to wipe down those shower doors if you don’t have a shower curtain.
  7. Toilets: Here’s how to get rid of those disgusting stains: Pour two cups of ACV (no water) into the toilet at bedtime. Most will be gone in the morning. The rest, just easily scrub away!

  1. I have been looking into the benefits of apple cider as I was told that it is more than just an ordinary vinegar. Some people who have been using it for their own respective purposes have been enduing the taste just to have those benefits for themselves. However, I believe that when it is being mixed with honey, its taste would somehow imporve and thus be more preferable by people who definiteky need the help of apple cider.

  2. I have tried this on my hair and I have tried drinking it in green tea and man it was nasty but it did uplift my mood a bit. I have also tried it on my hair and it has left a weird smell to it, but it is still pleasant, which is weird since it smells nasty on its own. You say you drink it, have you felt that it actually helps loose weight, or is that just a thing people assume? I have seen it mentioned many times on instagram and facebook, but quite a few of the pictures were from people who never even touched ACV

    1. Apple cider vinegar does have a bitter taste which is why I mix it with diet green tea and anything that is sugar free. It may not smell the best or taste great, but you can’t beat the benefits this powerful product provides. It definitely is a plus for losing weight, but it’s only one ingredient in losing weight. Diet and exercise are still the top choices in addition to ACV.

    1. The saying goes: An apple a day keeps the doctor away, so it goes to reason that apple cider vinegar is so good for you. I use Braggs ACV. It’s the most popular one available. As far as honey goes? Everyone may have different choices but I use YS Organic Bee Farms Certified 100% and mix it with my AVC. You can also try the raw wild Manuka honey too.

    1. Apple cider vinegar is good for digestive problems. You don’t need more than a tablespoon twice a day. The only negative is the taste. But this is so beneficial that I don’t go a day without it. Add honey and you’ve got a powerful combination!

    I take 1-2 teaspoons in warm water EVERY morning and I won’t be stopping any time soon, that’s for sure. The positive effects are well worth the awful taste, which isn’t quite as awful now as when I first started, thanks to my tastebuds becoming accustomed!

    1. Hi Amber 🙂 Thank you! Apple cider vinegar is about the healthiest thing you can have. I do agree with you about the taste.
      You can mix it with honey or really just about anything to mask the bitter taste.

      But the health benefits it provides, especially for diabetes and blood sugar are worth the bitterness. I know that I’m used to it by now.

      With regards to appetite suppression and losing weight, everyone is different. It could take anywhere to a few days or longer to see results. But don’t hold me to it. As I said, everyone will experience different results.

      Apple cider vinegar and baking soda provide so many healthy benefits. My only issue with apple cider vinegar is the bitter taste so I have to mix it with water or something else.

    I take Apple Cider Vinegar for my leg cramps and it helped. I never know that there are so many other benefits especially for Diabetes. I do not have diabetes, I will tell my friends who suffer from diabetes to take ACV with honey.

    I like the fact that ACV helps in hair loss. My hair is getting thinner now. I better start using AVC when washing my hair.

    My husband has sinus and stuffy nose everyday. He needs to take medication for that. I’ll tell him to try Apple Cider Vinegar.
