I also used to think that the disease is associated with old people because I have actually hardly heard anyone young with the issue. That thought has changed now. I originally thought that only ‘old people’ can get this disease, but yeah our current lifestyle make younger people also vulnerable to this ‘old people’ disease.       Yes diabetes is a silent killer and type 1 is even more important to contain because you produce little or no insulin.

      Sugar is just a killer. Excess amounts wreak havoc on your body. With type 1 you are on insulin for sure.

      So in order to survive following the proper diet is critical to remain healthy.
